    Introducing Fin, the inset or 'cassette' wood burning stove from Chilli Penguin.

    The name comes from "Fits In" although penguins don’t have fins, of course they have flippers, the merry folks at Chilli Penguin rightly felt it was still a part of that magical underwater marine world.

    Fin is shy and introspective, preferring to be tucked in and out of the way. Once tucked in and feeling safe, he is big hearted and generous. He will throw out a surprising amount of toasty heat for a little stove.

    He is a wood only stove but there is a smokeless kit available. There are also three choices of frame size.

    Fin has 2 air controls and a boost disc, making him very controllable There are convection slots at the base of the stove, they draw in cool air through the front of the stove, heat up the air, cycle it through the cassette and out into the room.

    Fin is a wood only stove. There is a smokeless fuel kit available, that can be factory fitted when your order or it can be retro fitted at a later date. Please be aware that that this will make it SMOKELESS FUEL only, not multi fuel. There is also a WOOD ONLY kit available if your stove was originally ordered with a smokeless fuel kit factory fitted.

    In addition there are 3 choices of surround/frame size; 50mm,  75 mm and 100mm.

    Our experience from Deri and his team has been excellent! We moved into this 55 year old bungalow last year. After a long power cut in the storms, we realised we needed an alternative form of heat. There is no chimney in the sitting room, a newish, large extension and to our surprise, no loft access, as the old gable end wall separated it from the main loft. Deri said, this wouldn't be a problem. He was right. Day 1, the wood burner was fitted and installed into the sitting room. Day 2, the roof was opened and the flue connected to the burner. Then on the hottest day, so far, of the year, it was tested. There was no mess, everything was kept clean and tidy as they worked. We are delighted, this long, featureless room now has a wonderful focal point. Our Lurcher approves too. I'd be giving 5+ stars, if I could.

    So far I have only used Calon yr Adref to sweep my chimneys. They are friendly, professional, certified to NACS standard, rapid and thorough. They leave no mess and are reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend them as a chimney sweeping service. If I needed a new burner then they would be the first business I would consult.
